4x4 FTA athletic equipment incorporates a range of pole vault and high jump units designed for use in many sporting events, from the largest Olympic gatherings to every day use for primary and secondary schools around the country.

Our range of units meets the following IAAF certification for Olympic use:

FTA’s pole vaulting and high jump equipment ranges from Olympic specified standard sizes through to customised junior models for a variety of uses.

FTA’s landing pits are made from the finest materials available. The breather fabric is vinyl-coated polyester yarn woven into an open mesh that allows the threads to move when an athlete's spikes hit them. This gives the fabric tremendous resistance to tearing, permits the air to escape from inside the base units for softer landings, and is very safe to land on, even from great heights. The sides and base of our pits are made from vinyl-coated polyester material, and all pits have a 50mm thick Wear Pad over the entire landing surface for added safety. The Pit Centres are made of Urethane Foam (CFC free) and are Air Cell constructed, making for un-parallel landing safety.

Most pole vaulting units and high jump pits are a made to order item to the client’s specifications. Each unit is manufactured using only the latest in hot air and high frequency welding, and utilise fire retardant materials where possible to help control any safety threats or issues that can arise on event day.
